Hotel Luna, Vigan, Ilocos Sur | Staycation Worthy and Vigan's History in One

Vigan, Ilocos Sur is considered to be one of the country's surviving historical cities. It offers not only mesmerizing views and mouth - watering food but it also gives you the feels that you're being transported to a time when Jose Rizal was still alive and kicking.  This is also where you can find the only museum hotel in the Philippines.

Hotel Luna, one of the local hotels in Vigan is definitely one of the best hotels the city has to offer.

Stokedtraveler: "Hotel Luna External Facade along the historic streets of Vigan"

Stokedtraveler: "The main lobby takes you to the rich colonial era with large beams, marble floors and a grand chandelier"
From their courteous and very helpful staff, (seriously their staff is by far the most polite and accommodating people I have ever talked to in a hotel), they have delectable food choices, features dozens of art collection, spacious and cozy rooms down to their swimming pool, you wont regret your stay here.

Stokedtraveler: "The food choices are just as plenty as it is delectable. Add an endless supply of dried squid and that in itself is a heavenly breakfast buffet"

Stokedtraveler: "The museum floor filled with the works of none other than Juan Luna and other local artists"
Even though they have colonial type of rooms- which is understandable since they're more of a museum hotel, I'm sure you wont be disappointed since their bathroom is really impressive.

Stokedtraveler: A seriously sleep worthy bed awaits you as a standard feature in their rooms. One of the fluffiest pillows and comfortable beds in all the hotels we've statyed in
This CR specifically has this high end toilet you won't find in most local hotels

Stokedtraveler: "Interesting choices. Didn't know you could do so many different things with a toilet seat"
Their terrace located at the roof top is a plus! You wont mind staying there for hours since the view is nice and you can catch the breath taking sunset if you stay long enough. This also turns into a mini bar come night time.

Their calesa is also an upgrade! They have this Cinderella like horse carriage you can take from any part of the city. The place gives them an edge since they are located at the mainstreet which is very accessible to all the places you would want to visit. We went to Calle Crisologo which was just a few minutes away from the hotel and had our pasalubongs ready.

Upon checking out of the hotel we couldn't find a motorcycle so the staff graciously offered to take care of the matter. It really is one of the places you will want to visit again.

Most of the time we tend to look for places with beaches and resorts where you can just plunge yourself in and reward yourself with good food and a nice view. There's definitely nothing wrong with that, after all, it's one of the things that makes travelling memorable and priceless.

But what if one day you wanted to take a break from all these crowded beaches and just go somewhere peaceful? Whether it be locally or abroad, it's always a good idea to go places where you can relax and forget just about anything you find stressful.

On your next trip, consider Vigan and when you visit spend a night or two at Hotel Luna. For the comfortable sleep, accessibility to Calle Crisologo attractions and a touch of old colonial history, it is surely a must stay at place when in Vigan.
